The Bureau of Curriculum and Development (BCD), through the collaborative work of its bureau specialists, academic experts and field implementers, has begun its initiative in reviewing the intended curriculum even prior to the CovidD-19 pandemic. This effort was intensified through the identification of the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) as a response to the challenges for learning delivery posed by the pandemic.
